Yellow Indiangrass - Sorghastrum nutans.
Perennial grass plant from the Poaceae family with copper-gold coloring of inflorescences.
Distributed in prairie, dry slopes, open areas throughout North America. One of the most beautiful and characteristic North American herbs.
Showy panicles of copper color with conspicuous bright yellow anthers appear in August. Wide open at first, they gradually narrow and become light chestnut, and remain so all winter.

Soil requirements: dry with medium nutritional value.
